In The Paint - Central Division

Lebron James
In The Paint: Central Division
The Race for 2nd Place is on

In a division that back in the day was dominated by Jordan’s Bulls, Detroits Bad Boys, and Reggie Miller’s Pacers, a new era has clearly taken over. Lebron and the Cavs are heads and shoulders the class of the Central, and aspirations to win the title are realistic for fans of the Cavs. The number one question heading into 2009 for Cleveland is does Lebron have enough help to win in the postseason? The addition of Mo Williams has paid off big dividends early, but the lack of depth in the front court will hurt Cleveland against Boston. If Cleveland can add a veteran big man who can give them quality minutes the second half of the year and postseason, they will be a huge threat to Boston. Cleveland fans meanwhile have to hope that their fears of Lebron James leaving will be laid to rest after this season, and James will resign with Cleveland to forego the free agent frenzy that would surround the team for the 2009-10 season. It all started with the Big 5 during the 03-04 NBA season. They were a team compiled with great athletes and tremendous chemistry. After a 54-28 season, the Pistons not only had the best record in their organization since 1997, but ended up winning the NBA Finals 4-1 as the underdogs against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rodney Stuckey lights up Chicago for 40

December 24, 2008 by The Boss · Leave a Comment

Rodney Stuckey Pistons
At least for one night, Rodney Stuckey made all Pistons fans forget about Chauncey Billups not being there anymore. The Chicago Bulls tried to stop Stuckey, but there was no answer for him, as he dropped a career-high 40 points in a 104-98 victory Tuesday night. When asked about his big game, Stuckey said, “I was just taking what the defense gave me.”

Detroit improved to 15-11 overall, but are only .500 since Allen Iverson came on board. Even though Stuckey scored 40, there were five Pistons in double figures, and Iverson was not one of them. AI played only 24 minutes and left early due to an injury.

Tale of the Tape:
Rodney Stuckey Season Stats:
10.7 Points 5.1 Assists

Chauncey Billups Season Stats:
17.7 Points 6.9 Assists

Allen Iverson Season Stats:
18.6 Points, 5.8 Assists
